Graduated with honors from the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University (1982 – 1987) and completed her postgraduate studies at the same university.

Since 1990, she has been working at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University as an assistant professor, lecturer, associate professor of German Philology, professor, and head of the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation.

From 1996 to 1997, she did an internship at the Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany.

After completing her postgraduate studies in 2004, she defended her PhD thesis at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv on “Compatibility and Functional Features of Adjectives Denoting Portrait Characteristics of a Person in Modern German” (specialty 10.02.04 – Germanic Languages), with Professor, Doctor of Philology Viktor Levytskyi as her academic supervisor.

Since 2010, she has been the Head of the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

In 2021, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Dr. habil. of Philology at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University on the topic of “Cultural and Emotional Patterns of Reproduction of Limited Use Vocabulary in Ukrainian-German Literary Translation”. Specialty 10.02.16 – Translation Studies. Scientific advisor: Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of German Philology and Translation of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University Liliia Bezuhla.

She is the author of 135 publications, including 120 scientific works, including 3 collective monographs, 71 articles in professional scientific journals of Ukraine, 14 in foreign publications; 3 dictionaries, 11 of an educational nature, 29 articles and materials of international conferences published in foreign languages.

Associate member of the Center for Interdisciplinary Polish Studies at the European University Viadrina (Frankfurt/Oder);

Research interests: translation of literary text, limited use vocabulary, maledictology, dialectology, cultural studies, slang, language semantics.

Member of the National Writers’ Union of Ukraine. She writes novels, short fiction, and poetry. She has been awarded many prizes.
