The second-year students of the Software Engineering study programme have completed the Robotics course and as a result demonstrated their practical semester assignments – programmable robots.
“Robotics” in the Software Engineering study programme is preceded by the study of the basics of programming, physics, the basics of electronics and computer circuitry, and programming of embedded systems.
First, these robots look like children’s toys. But in fact, each of these models is equipped with a set of sensors and a special microcontroller chip and “knows” how to perform specialised tasks, including avoiding obstacles, planning the optimal route between two points and following this route, moving along a predetermined route, moving along walls or other structures with environmental control, and navigating by an electronic compass.
