Today in Zagreb, the rector of Vasyl Stefanyk National University of Prykarpattia Ihor Tsependa visited the Embassy of Ukraine in Croatia and met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Croatia Vasyl Kyrylych.
The working day of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission in Zagreb begins every morning with a moment of silence to honor the memory of those who died as a result of Russian armed aggression and the lighting of a candle. The rector was invited to the ceremony.
The Ambassador of Ukraine Vasyl Kyrylych gives this tradition a deep meaning: every Ukrainian who works in public service abroad must make every effort to speed up the Victory in the war, in which defenders and civilians of Ukraine die every day.
After commemorating the victims, Rector Ihor Tsependa addressed the Embassy employees with a short speech. He spoke about the role of Prykarpattia University in the region, about the strategy and missions it carries out. In particular, regarding assistance to the defense forces of Ukraine. He thanked the Ambassador and Ukrainian diplomats for their professionalism and the seemingly invisible work they do for Victory.
During the conversation with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Croatia Vasyl Kyrylych, a wide range of issues were discussed, including the expansion of opportunities for cooperation between the universities of Ukraine and Croatia. In particular, joint rehabilitation activities for military personnel, expansion of student exchange within the framework of European Union programs, as well as implementation of joint scientific projects.
The parties also expressed sincere interest in cooperation and exchanged ideas and visions of cooperation.
