Rector of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University Ihor Tsependa took part in the celebrations dedicated to the opening of the Center for Polish and Ukrainian Studies of the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Germany). The opening of the Center was welcomed by the Minister of Science, Research and Culture of Brandenburg, Manya Shule, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Federal Republic of Germany, Oleksiy Makeev.
Also, together with the rectors of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University Volodymyr Bugrov and Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Cherkasy National University Oleksandr Cherevka, Ihor Tsependa met with the president of the European University Viadrina Eduard Mühle and the vice-president of the university Dagmaroi Yaesniak-Kvast.
The Center for Polish and Ukrainian Studies plans to focus on humanitarian research, as well as on the transmission of knowledge about Poland and Ukraine to the public.
