Oksana Nych was born on April 24, 1981, in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk. From 1987 to 1994, she studied at Ivano-Frankivsk Secondary School No. 19, and later continued her education at Lyceum School No. 23. Between 1998 and 2005, she was a student of the Faculty of Romano and Germanic Philology of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. She earned a qualification as a philologist, teacher of English and German languages, and literature. During her university studies, she completed an internship in London in 2003.
She began her teaching career in 2006 as an assistant at the Department of Foreign Languages at the Institute of Management and Economics “Halytska Akademiya.” In 2009, she joined the Department of Foreign Languages at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University as an assistant lecturer.
From 2009 to 2013, she pursued postgraduate studies at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. Under the supervision of Professor Nelli Lysenko, she defended her PhD thesis titled “Family Education of Pre School- Aged Children in the Ukrainian Diaspora (Second Half of the 20th – Early 21st Century)” in 2015.
Throughout her work at the department, she has taught practical foreign language classes for various specializations, including International Relations, International Economics, Applied Mathematics and Programming, Primary and Preschool Education, Design, Applied Arts, and others.
She is the author of 30 scientific and educational-methodical works, including two articles published in international journals indexed by Web of Science.
Oksana Bohdanivna has participated in numerous national and international conferences. In January 2017, she completed an internship in Poland under the program “Innovative Technologies in Science and Education: European
Experience.”
In December 2019, she was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages.
She has completed professional development courses on the platforms Coursera and Prometheus (Media Literacy for Educators, Educational Tools for Critical Thinking). She also participated in webinars such as Teaching through the COVID- 19 Pandemic, Useful Apps and Tips for Teaching Students and Kids, Using Innovative Media Resources in a Teacher’s Educational Activities, Academic Integrity as a Foundation for the Successful Development of Science and the State, Digital Tools in Online and Offline Learning, Modern Interactive Technologies for Effective English Language Learning, How to Start an English Lesson in an Engaging Way? Effective Exercises That Require No Preparation, Smartphones as a Tool for Diversifying Modern Education, and A New Look at Favorite Games for Developing Communicative Skills in English Lessons.
In 2021, she completed an internship on “Modern Technologies and Innovations in Higher Education. Distance Learning – A Challenge of Our Time” at Ivano- Frankivsk National Medical University. The purpose of this internship was to gain experience in applying modern technologies for conducting practical English classes on distance learning platforms.
In 2023, she worked as an interpreter in the Social Department and the Ukrainian Refugee Assistance Office in the Republic of Ireland, where she had the opportunity to practice English with native speakers.
Since September 2024, she has been working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation.
Her scientific interests include migration processes, family education, the Ukrainian diaspora, integration processes in Europe, and translation studies.
