The XXXIII Economic Forum of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, which is also called the Central European Davos, ended in the Polish town of Karpacz. It is the largest annual event for leading politicians, economists, scientists, educators, representatives of the business world and non-governmental organizations.
Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University was traditionally represented at the Forum by Acting Rector Ihor Tsependa. He took part in many discussions, held a number of important meetings on the sidelines of the Forum, and also signed an important new Cooperation Agreement for the university with the Head of the Institute for East European Studies, Zygmunt Berdychowsky, who is the Chairman of the Economic Forum Programme Council.
Thanks to this cooperation, since 2018, 17 of our best students have been receiving scholarships (USD 1000 in hryvnia equivalent) from this prestigious Foundation every year.
For more than 6,000 participants, the Economic Forum in Karpacz is a special place where political, economic and social decision-makers can meet and establish valuable business contacts, as well as discuss current programs and find the best solutions for them.
