Today, the final lecture of the intensive course “Japanese Language and Japanese Studies” took place at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. As part of the course, a “Japanese-Ukrainian Online Seminar and Forum” was held under the leadership of Honorary Professor of PNU, Doctor of Historical and Economic Sciences, Professor at Kobe Gakuin University Yoshihiko Okabe. The topic of the final lecture was: “What can Japan do to help Ukraine’s recovery? What can Ukraine do for Japan?”.
“The Japanese studies courses are very interesting and beneficial for our students. It is especially pleasant that the professor has found the opportunity to visit our university in person for the second time. We are convinced that our cooperation will continue and deepen,” noted PNU First Vice-Rector Valentyna Yakubiv, welcoming the Honorary Professor of PNU before the lecture began.
During the event, Yoshihiko Okabe shared his vision of the potential for cooperation between Ukraine and Japan, emphasizing the importance of exchanging experience and support in the fields of infrastructure, economy, and culture recovery. He also stressed that mutual support would contribute to the development of both countries.
